Cumberland Music, LLC produces and distributes classic and traditional instrumental music. The company was founded by Mark Howard and Steve Swann and is located in Nashville, Tennessee.

Along with his guitar and mandolin talents, Mark is also known as one of Nashville's finest acoustic music producers.

In early 1988, Mark teamed with autoharp player Ron Wall and hammered dulcimer artist Alisa Jones to form Cumberland Records. Over the years this trio of folk musicians has recorded some of America's very best old-time instrumental music, and all of these recordings are available on this website.

Steve Swann has been involved with sales and marketing of acoustic music since 1985. He has worked with Brentwood Music, Benson Music, and was co-founder of Maple Street Music. Steve has been an executive producer on over 30 instrumental recordings of classic American folk, mountain and western music.
